Zip not only reflects my outfit choice, but also the speed at which this summer has flown by. I literally blinked, and mid-September is now upon us. As this summer is rolling to an end, I can’t help but relish in the last few days the weather gods have granted Northern England. It has been a fairly dreary summer. As is typical for this part of the world, rain and cold have dominated most of our weekends. This last weekend, however, we enjoyed a sunny Sunday, despite being indoors all of Sat. Sunday had temperatures as high as 20 ºC (or 68 ºF for those of you state-side) in Hull. Even though it was a bit chilly, I took advantage of the weather to catch a few rays, and sport my sandals, in a last, tragic attempt to feel warmth.
Since the rest of the year will have me in a raincoat and boots, say hello to the world feet. You won’t be seeing much of it soon…
Despite the short summer ending, there is a lot to look forward to in the next season. Not only does the UK boast some of the most beautiful Fall scenery, but Halloween is right around the corner, which means my birthday is around the corner as well! It is going to go so quickly, especially because in less than 2 weeks, I will be in Spain again (and enjoying proper summer weather).
