Our little sleepy city is receiving a royal visit soon. Prince Charles is coming tomorrow to Hull, hopefully as one of many future high profile visits to the City of Culture. The Ferens Art Gallery, Holy Trinity Church, the Deep and the Royal Shakespeare Company Outreach are all on the the royal agenda, but they are but a small glimpse of what the City Centre has to offer. I hope Charles and Camilla get to see some of the beautiful old corners of the city centre. There are so many little nooks that are worth a view, so I’ve compiled a little photo-tour.
{Alfred Gelder Street…}
{… Takes you to a cute little cafe in the mystical Land of Green Ginger}
{In the Land of Green Ginger lives the smallest window…}
{You then pass by Holy Trinity Church, a 700 year old Minster}
{From the Minster, turn 180º for some nice Belgian beers and burgers…}
{…Or, pass through the archway to pass through Hull’s most photogenic street}
{When you make it out to Lowgate after a few turns, head back up north to see St Mary’s}
{…Keep heading straight until you make it to Hull College, and you will find Queen’s Gardens…}
{End your tour in the centre of it all… Next to the Maritime Museum, Prince’s Quay and even a pub called ‘The Empress’, nestled right by Queen’s Gardens… Welcome to Hull!}
