Sequins and all that jazz…

Merry Almost Christmas!

I know, I know… It’s been a while since I’ve posted. But rest assured… I have not been purposely ignoring my blog (and you!)… I’ve been extremely busy!

One of the ways I’ve been keeping myself busy is working a lot and working out a lot. So now that the holiday season is upon us, I can honestly say I’ve earned a bit of unwinding and treating myself to something nice.

{My favorite form of unwinding: sitting at home with a glass of wine, some calming music and watching my candles burn steadily}

Our Christmas party was just last Friday and it was an absolute success. I love these occasions for dressing nice and getting all glammed up. The girls at work and I brought our dresses, make-up and everything to work. We did our make-up and hair in an office and then changed into our cocktail dresses in time to be picked up by a coach. We left at work at 12, and we were ready for some fun!

{On the coach and looking fab!}

For this year’s Christmas party dress, I decided to go with the amazing ‘Tiara’ Bandeau Ruched Sequin Mini Dress from Boutique of Molly. This dress is only £64.95 and I can’t begin to tell you how many compliments I got on it! I think it was the combination of all my gym sessions and a great dress, but I was feeling so confident and was having an absolute blast.

The dress itself is sleeveless, but it has a built in bra, so you don’t need to find one that works with the dress. It also came with some attachable straps, but I felt that I didn’t need them.  Plus you could always style it with a blazer!

One of the things that I love about this dress is that it is tight, but it has a ‘ruched’ middle. It was form-fitting, but it also concealed all the bits I wanted concealing. I am a curvy girl, so it’s nice when a dress accentuates my curves without making them look unflattering. If you still need a New Year’s Eve/Holiday party dress, I highly recommend this one! My dress looked amazing on me it was extremely unique, so I didn’t have to worry about showing up at my Christmas dinner with somebody else wearing the same thing. With it being from Boutique of Molly, and not some major chain, you get the quality and highlight your individual style.
